Since 1990, Hasegaw has been active as a stage director and also worked as a designer on animated TV series such as Active Raid, Hundred and Slave Ward.
In 2018, he launched Rune Cinema with actors SHUHAMA Harumi and FUJITA Takehiko and began producing independent films. In 2019, made his directorial debut with Kazoku Awase his directorial debut.

1990年より舞台演出家として活動する傍ら、デザイナーとしてTVアニメ『アクティヴレイド』、『ハンドレッド』、『奴隷区』等の作品に参加。2018年、俳優しゅはまはるみ、藤田健彦らとルネシネマを立ち上げ自主映画制作を開始。2019年、『かぞくあわせ』（オムニバス３部作）で映画監督デビュー。
