Born in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. After working as an assistant director for notable productions, including the TV dramas like From the North Country '98, Private Detective Mike Hama, as well as with directors such as ANNO Hideaki, SUZUKI Matsuo, and IWAMATSU Ryo, he moved on to directing. His directorial works include the TV drama Atsui zo! Nekkogaya!! and films such as Live Broadcast of Death: The Movie (2014), Black Butterfly’s Secret (2018), and Burn, Failed Women! (2019).

大阪府堺市出身。
梅沢富美男劇団員、テレビドラマ「北の国から’98時代」、「私立探偵濱マイク」、庵野秀明、松尾スズキ、岩松了などの助監督を経て、テレビドラマ「熱いぞ！猫ヶ谷！！」、映画『死の実況中継 劇場版』（14）、『黒蝶の秘密』(18)、『燃えよ！失敗女子』（19）などを監督。
