2021 Audience Award

Game Review: Skytar Lacked Storytelling

We have a winner! After counting all the votes, House of Seasons was revealed as the winner of the 2021 Audience Award. Director SAKAMOTO Yoshihiro will be presented with a commemorative plaque later in the month and we will be sure to share his acceptance remarks with you.

Shot over the course of almost a full year in Toyama where Dir. Sakamoto was born, House of Seasons portrays the journey of a young woman named Ayano as she encounters people who care about her and as she discovers the beauty of nature. The changing seasons accompany Ayano’s growth and recovery and allows the audience to experience scenes that are carefully crafted to expose Ayano’s quiet and sensitive emotions. House of Seasons is a film that also centers the local communities and inherited culture and highlights a human/nature bond grounded in respect and harmony.

Congratulations, Dir. Sakamoto and everyone who was involved in this wonderful film and your achievement!
