Synopsis
The directorial debut of award-winning cinematographer IMAMURA Keisuke (winner of the 43rd Japan Academy Award for Best Picture) Yan tells the story of 28-year-old Tsubame Hayakawa's journey to a home he barely remembers. Asked by his father to deliver an important document to his estranged brother, Tsubame sets out for the Taiwanese town that is not only his birthplace but also the place where his beloved mother, who used to call him Yan Yan, disappeared when he was only five-year-old.
