Important CJFC Programming Update

On Thursday, May 18, an article was published in Japan ​alleging inappropriate behavior by director UENISHI Yudai, whose film ​​Osaka Bros​​ was scheduled to screen at the 2022 Chicago Japanese Film Collective. The Festival ​stands by the statement​ made by Dir. KORE-EDA Hirokazu and other volunteer directors on March 18, 2022, that no​ form of harassment or violence ​will be tolerated ​in the film industry. In light of these circumstances, we have made the painful decision to suspend the screening of ​Osaka Bros​​ until further notice.
