Synopsis
Two fraudsters, Samejima and Oshikiri, secure a deal with a wealthy wife, Harue, to buy gold from her. However, upon revisiting hear, they discover her funeral wake is conducted. As the executor reads the will, stating the inheritance will go to the person who stays until the end of the wake, a deceitful competition ensues among four individuals, including Harue's granddaughter Saki. What is the "final lie" that these skilled impostors will uncover?

Director's Comment
I am Hirotaka Nakagawa, the director of "NOT BEER". I started my career as a child actor in a Japanese theater company, which inspired me to start making movies. "NOT BEER" is my first feature film.
This movie is a story based on lies.
Let me ask you out of the blue, do you tell lies? I think people are made of lies.
There is always a flip side to the sincerity and actions that appear on the surface. People often lie and hurt others easily.
However, I believe that such parts of people are full of humanity. This movie shows the essence of people through lies.
I hope that through this movie, the image of lying will become a little better for you.
