Director Spotlight #10: “Qualia”
Born in 1980, he first gained recognition as a finalist in the 1996 Junon Super Boy Contest, leading to work primarily as a model in advertising. In 2001, he studied acting at Tokyo Actor’s Studio, building a film-centric acting career. His notable roles include The Voice of Water (2014) directed by Masashi Yamamoto, Lowlife Love (2015) by Eiji Uchida, and Beneath the Deep (2019) by Koichiro Oyama, among many others. Qualia is his first feature as a director.
1980年生まれ。1996年にジュノン・スーパーボーイ・コンテストでファイナリストに選ばれ、その後、広告を中心にモデルとして活動を開始。2001年には東京アクターズスタジオで演技を学び、映画を中心に俳優としてのキャリアを積む。主な出演作品に、山本政志監督の『水の声を聞く』（2014年）、内田英治監督の『下衆の愛』（2015年）、大山晃一郎監督の『いつくしみふかき』（2019年）などがある。監督作品としては、長編デビュー作となる『Qualia』がある。
