On Stage with NOBE Tomizo - A Rare Opportunity You Can’t Miss!
We are thrilled to announce that NOBE Tomizo, the lead actor of Laugh, Everyone!, will be joining us from Japan for the screening of this heartfelt drama at the Backstreet Cinema Series. His presence will make the Chicago premiere even more memorable, and we are deeply grateful for the effort he has made to be with us.
NOBE Tomizo
野辺富三
Born in Tokyo in 1968. From 2000 to 2004, he was a member of the Ninagawa Company Dash, a theater troupe founded by the late Yukio Ninagawa. He is currently active as a freelance actor.
His major stage credits include Yukio Ninagawa’s productions of Chikamatsu Shinju Monogatari, Fickle, Truly Fickle 2001, Waiting 2001, The Threepenny Opera, Yotsuya Kaidan, Macbeth, Pericles, and Hamlet.
His notable film appearances include Love, Tavern and Music (2018), O-guchi no Koi Hito (2019), THEATERS (2023), and And, Yuko II (2024). Laugh, Everyone! marks his first starring role in a feature film.
1968年生まれ。東京都出身。2000年〜2004年蜷川幸雄（故人）が主宰していた劇団・ニナガワカンパニーダッシュを経て、現在はフリーとして活動主な出演舞台、蜷川幸雄演出「近松心中物語」「真情あふるる軽薄さ2001」「2001待つ」「三文オペラ」「四谷怪談」「マクベス」「ぺリクリーズ」「ハムレット」など主な出演映画 「愛と酒場と音楽と」(2018)「お口の濃い人」(2019) 「THEATERS」(2023)、「そして、優子II」（2024）など映画「みんな笑え」が自身の初主演映画となる。
