Meet MINAMI Sara:

Game Review: Skytar Lacked Storytelling

Born on June 11, 2002 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Minami debuted as a model after winning the Grand Prix at the 18th NICOLA Model Audition. She made her acting debut in Dear Etranger (2017). In her first starring role in Shino Cannot Say Her Own Name (2018), she brings intense passion to the role of the main character, Shino, and was awarded numorous awards for Best Newcomer. Her acting excellence was next seen in Iwane: Sword of Serenity (2019) and Mugen Foundation (2019). In House of Seasons, Minami plays the lead role of Ayaka, a girl who is emotionally troubled and drops out of school. The role was designed for a 16 year old (the same age as Minami at the time of production) who, through her encounters and experiences at the youth facility, delicately embodies the maturation and growth of the seasons. Minami is also active in commercials and dramas, and is one of the most notable young actors in Japan.

Minami’s Comment for House of Seasons
When I read the script for the first time, the beautiful scenery filled my mind. I thought that Ayaka, who I play, is controlled by the atmosphere that forces her to act, as if she is wrapping a rope around herself. At the beginning of production, I felt like I was walking through a tunnel with no way out. I was happy to have been cast in the role but, at the same time, I felt a kinship and a bit of hatred toward the character, and it was hard to embody her. Throughout the year, however, I came to believe that I could evolve with the character through the encounters, partings, and countless moments provided by the world surrounding me. My great hope is to convey hope and kindness through this performance.
