Synopsis

Ann, a middle school student who doesn’t fit in and is always alone, finds her only refuge on a forbidden staircase. One day, a shopkeeper gives her a magical kaleidoscope, and when she chants a spell and looks through it, the forbidden door opens, revealing stairs to the rooftop. Nervously climbing up, she meets Aina, another student with the same kaleidoscope. They quickly become friends and spend a wonderful summer together, but Ann starts to suspect that Aina might be the "rooftop ghost" rumored at school. Despite her doubts, they grow closer and, as the new term approaches, they make a big decision together.
